Hi, my name is Denise.

I am happy to tell you that my new family daycare, Little and Active, is now open in Morningside! This is a special place where children can learn and play together in a homelike environment.

A little about me… I have over 20 years of experience working with children along with being a mother myself. I have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, and have completed many extra professional development training relating to Early Childhood including Circle of Security supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and my First Aid training. I also have my Bachelor in Criminal Justice.

As an Early Childhood Educator I have worked in many different settings including in peoples homes as a Nanny, as an Educator in Daycare Centres and as a Family Daycare Educator. The past 3.5 years have seen me working at an amazing Childcare centre in the Bulimba area along with undertaking relief work in a beautiful Community Kindergarten also in Bulimba. Through these experiences I have been able to see the positive impact education and care has on a child’s development and I have found great delight in helping children learn and grow along the way while also supporting and working together with families.

At Little and Active, I will provide fun activities and adventures. We will go to parks including Kelgarie Park and Seven Hill Reserve to play outside and enjoy the beautiful things nature has to offer.
