Monte Kids Family Day Care encourages independence in children and to develop a love of learning. We follow the Montessori philosophy and the five areas of Montessori – practical life, sensorial, maths, language and culture, including art, music, and movement to work on gross motor skills.
Kerrie and Paul are a husband and wife team, with five children aged from 5 to 27, and both are qualified educators with a Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Kerrie has completed NAMC’s Infant and Toddler Diploma Program and NAMC’s Early Childhood Education Program, and is a Branch Into Music accredited educator. With low ratios, we are able to really get to know and observe your child and so we are able to provide experiences for them that are tailored to their interests and developmental stages. Each child is able to learn and develop at their own pace. We have a large outdoor area where the children can do some gardening and grow their own vegetables, composting, sandpit, mud kitchen, play equipment and also grass to run around on and play games. We have fish and guinea pigs that the children help care for, and we also love doing cooking, music, art, and woodwork.
